E2 Widget

You’ll need Mac OS X Tiger for this. I have made a Dashboard widget that lets you search E2, opening your browser for pages that you choose. While this isn’t groundbreakingly useful, I did it more as a proof of concept to see if I can do other E2-based widgets.
It uses the E2 XML Search Interface, which means it behaves differently from the search box on E2. Primarily, you have to choose the nodetype to search for.
Making a widget was fun, if a little harder than I expected. I was hoping the API would give you more stuff for free, but you basically have to do it all apart from the nifty animation when it flips sides. The widgets are simply HTML files, with a png as the background. The transparent parts of the png are what lets you have oddly-shaped widgets.
